A Slim Peace is a new documentary about the first ever health, nutrition and weight loss group of Israeli and Palestinian women. Directed and co-produced by filmmaker Yael Luttwak, the film premiered at the Tribeca and Jerusalem film festivals and will be broadcast on television including The Sundance Channel.
Inspired by the film, The Charities Advisory Trust from the UK asked Luttwak to create four more Slim Peace Groups and to bring together more Israeli and Palestinian women for a joint program in health, nutrition and weight loss.
Each group meets once a week for 10 weeks and the first group
will begin October 30, 2007. The group is run by an Israeli nutritionist, the head of nutrition at Hadassah Hospital, Dr. Dorit Adler and her esteemed collogue, Palestinian nutritionist Suha Khoury.
